SpaceGivers: A Transformative Journey
Over the course of the last two years, I have dedicated myself to the development of an application known as SpaceGivers. What initially began as a presentation in the realm of a ‘Business Entrepreneurship’ course has evolved into a profound and committed endeavor.
The genesis of this project stems from the poignant personal experience of a team member grappling with the diagnosis of cancer within their family. Witnessing the challenges faced by the caregiving circle, she recognized the absence of substantial support for those shouldering the immense responsibility of caring for a loved one in such trying circumstances.
Extensive research, encompassing user studies, interviews, and rigorous product validation, culminated in the creation of ‘SpaceGivers.’ This app serves as a sanctuary for individuals who identify themselves as caregivers for people battling cancer, offering a supportive and empowering environment throughout their caregiving journey. The application encompasses several essential services:
- Guided Journaling: A platform where caregivers can articulate their thoughts and emotions through built-in activities.
- Calendar and Tracker: An integrated tool to efficiently manage and monitor all caregiving tasks.
- Community Tab: A space facilitating the sharing of past experiences and new insights among caregivers.
The trajectory of this project has involved an immersive exploration of various facets, including business strategies, design considerations, market analysis, and more. As we embark on the next phase of this journey, the significance of SpaceGivers is palpable, and our enthusiasm to contribute to the welfare of caregivers remains unwavering. Personally, I take great pride in the strides we’ve made and look forward to the continued evolution of this project.
